It might sound counterintuitive, but washing clothes too often can actually wear them out faster. Instead of washing clothes after every wear, assess if they need a wash. For example, denim jeans and sweaters can often be worn multiple times before needing a wash. Spot cleaning is also a good way to remove stains without going through the whole washing process.

Only Wash When Necessary: Avoid washing clothes after each wear unless they are visibly dirty.

Use a Gentle Cycle: When you do wash, choose the gentlest cycle to protect the fabric.

Spot Clean Stains: Treat small stains with a stain remover instead of washing the entire garment.

Air Clothes: Allow clothes to air out between wears to reduce the need for frequent washing.

Turn Clothes Inside Out: This helps to protect the outer fabric from abrasion during washing.
